A few months back my 9 yr. old cat started vomiting on a weekly basis. Blood tests showed that her white blood cells, leukocytes and eosinophiles were all elevated and the vet thought this most likely indicated a food allergy. He recommend Z/D brand food which was quite expensive and also meant a 30 minute roundtrip drive to his office to get it. I did some research online and found several reviews of your products so I purchased the dry food version of Natural Balance® Green Pea & Duck Formula. I am very happy to report that my cat has been on for almost two months and the vomiting has stopped. I just purchased the Green Pea & Salmon formula because I now have a kitten who doesn't seem to like the duck formula. Both cats do like the salmon. My eleven year old cat developed a food allergy about one year ago. After spending a large amount of money on her to find out the cause of her hair loss, she was diagnosed with food allergies. For the past eight months I have been buying a prescription brand cat food sold only by my veterinarian. (Venison/Pea & Duck/Pea) About one month ago, I came across your brand of cat food at our local pet food/garden store. (Zam Zows) I went ahead and bought the Natural Balance® Green Pea & Duck Formula. My cat loves this food so much better than the one I was getting from my vet. Yesterday, I came across the new Green Pea & Salmon and Green Pea & Chicken flavors and purchased those from Petco. I'm anxious to blend these flavors in to see if my cat likes them just as much. Thank you for making a quality, limited ingredient cat food that keeps my cat's allergies in line. The cost of your product is much easier for me to afford as well. My cat, Cheeks, is close to 5 years old and became pretty overweight this past year. Besides letting him out on a harness and leash... he doesn't get much exercise. I place him on your reduced calorie formula last year, but didn't see any difference. Two months ago I changed to the Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula after my neighbor had great luck with her cat losing weight with this product...and sure enough... Cheeks has lost at least a couple of pounds. Instead of sleeping all day and night, he is a lot more active with me and my other cat, Piper!!! He does bug me more during the night with wanting get hugs and play, but for his health.... I will take that anyday! Thanks for the great product!!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Limited Ingredient Cat food. I adopted a rescue kitten with chronic diarrhea. I tried many different homeopathic treatments as well as the vet recommended prescription foods and medicines (which she hated getting and I hated giving). After 6 months of no improvement my vet gave me a list of tests we could start running on my kitten to try to find the cause of her diarrhea. I just wanted to say how much our cats have benefited from switching to your Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Cat Formula. Our 10 year old Siamese mixes have both suffered for years with Irritable Bowel Disease and we've spent a fortune on medications to calm the reactions. After trying them on several foods over the years they have finally been able to heal and let their systems settle. They love the taste of this food better than any others in the past as well. I adopted my cat Teila last year from the my local humane society. Her coat wasn't very shiny and she was under weight, probably because those cats are fed by donated food only. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Cat Formula. I have one cat whose never had any allergy issues, but when I adopted my second cat, I noticed she was scratching and licking her fur all the time and since she sleeps in the bed with me it was keeping me up at night. I knew it wasn't fleas because there was no evidence of any and my other cat wasn't affected. My vet suggested I use a limited ingredient pet food and mentioned duck or rabbit were often used in this case, which I wasn't aware of. Anyway, within a couple of weeks of putting her on your duck and green pea dry and canned food my kitty stopped licking and scratching and her hair grew back in the bald spots she had given herself. I just wanted to let you know your Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Cat Formula for cats really saved our new cat Moe's life. It's pretty obvious which one is of him his first day here. I wish we could've taken clearer ones but he was a miserable, traumatized mess for the first few weeks out of the shelter and stayed fairly hidden. He pulled most of his fur out in response to flea allergies and stress and threw up at least 3 times a day. After going from bad to worse in the shelter, they were going to put him to sleep but happily gave him to us. Once we got the fleas under control and he calmed down, we realized the throwing up was caused by something else...food allergies! Your allergy diet REALLY fixed the problem. He's gained a couple pounds and no longer meows miserably all night from an upset stomach. The bottom two pics are him, happy and healthy and one of the nicest cats I've ever met. I wanted to say thanks for the Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Cat Formula. I have a Bengal cat that is allergic to most cat foods. At one point she was so bad she almost died and did have a nervous breakdown from the itching. When this first happened food allergies for cats was not really heard of and the vet suggested venison and potatoes. So I got venison from some hunters and friends and cooked it myself until I ran out and by then they started having it available through pet food companies. Eventually she developed a sensitivity to venison and went to Duck and pea. She seemed to out grow it for a couple of years then recently she got really bad again. I got duck and Pea food from my vet but it turned out it had anchovies in it and she got worse. Then I got on line and found Natural Balance. I read the ingredients and saw no added meat proteins and in 1 week she is so much better. Her sores that she had are healing and she is beginning to act like herself. I am so glad that I found this food not only is the food helping her heal she is gaining back weight that she lost and the food is much cheaper than at the vet that just made her worse. My cat, Anna, used to have problem with her stool and with her food. Throughout her life with us (she's a rescued cat), she had an issue with food - she'd either throw up, have diarrhea or loose stool or just ate a few bites and refused to eat. We thought she was finicky or sick. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with her. Little did we know that it was the food we fed her beginning with supermarket generic brands to commercial brands (like Purina & Whiskas), locally produced "brands" to premium and super-premium brands, I've tried them all. Anna was skinny and small, as if she couldn't grow; she was sickly as well and refused to eat. Finally I came across your website and read about the ingredients used in your products and your special Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula for cats with allergies. Prior to this, I've read about how cats are carnivores and will not do well on cat food with grain, wheat, gluten, corn, etc but can't find any suitable alternative. When your product finally reached our Malaysian shore, I immediately bought a small bag - the smallest bag (about 1 kg). I was apprehensive, Anna has rejected so many types of cat food we fed her, but surprisingly she took to it and within a few days of being on your food, her stools were firm and well-shaped. Only then i realised that all her "health-issues" were food related. I wished I had been 'smarter' earlier. That was in March and we haven't looked back since. She used to weigt less than 2 kg for an adult cat (1 years old) but now she's 3.4 kg. She has gained more energy, has a muscular frame (no more scrawny skinny kitten-like shape), her fur has grown out into soft and lustrous sheen and she has even grown more colour on her fur. We can't decide whether she's a bengal or cheetah, such is her colour pattern. Her frame has filled out naturally and we're pleased that she's healthy now. Thank you for such a fine product.
