| Last year I rescued a 7 month old Collie from a a Collie rescue program. They were feeding him a commercial kibble and a small scoop of canned to get him to eat the kibble. He had some digestive upsets and his breath and stool smelled so bad that I knew I would be changing his diet. Gradually I introduced the Natural Balance® Ultra, Liver and Beef canned foods. He has no stomach upsets and breath is clean and his coat is thick and silky. I also started adding Ultra to my pugs home cooked meals. She is certainly perkier. Thank you for making wonderful dog foods that I feel safe using. Alison, PA |
| I first saw Natural Balance (NB) in the stores but never gave it a thought
until I read about NB's quality in the Whole Dog Journal.
Last week, I rescued/adopted two Newfoundlands that had more or less been
neglected for their first two years. They were kept as backyard dogs with
no socialization, training or even walks. Fortunately, the owner turned
them in to our local Humane Society which is how I found them.
I had unique health concerns about Ad'y - at 1-y/o, she was hit by a car but the previous owner waited a
week before getting proper medical attention. She required surgery to reset
her hip.
When I was brushing her, the brush kept catching on something, I thought
a foxtail. To my horror, I found surgical staples in her flesh from that
surgery…OVER A YEAR AGO. The previous owner never took her back to have the
staples removed! She was turned
in with so many mats in her fur that the matting covered the staples! She also had
multiple imbedded foxtails that created a mass the size of a macadamia nut
on both front paws. The foxtails had to be surgically removed.
The nutritional needs of all my dogs is a priority, but given her background,
Ad’y had special concerns and would barely eat. I tried NB dry food alone, and even made fresh chicken breast
& rice...nothing.
I also have three orphaned puppies that I'm fostering for a rescue group; I am feeding them Natural
Balance® Canned Chicken Formula. On
a whim, I added the puppies' NB Chicken canned food to her dry food. SHE
LOVED IT. She even wanted second-helpings. I was so excited and happy to
see her eat so well for the first time. It literally brought tears to my
eyes.
Personally, I have to admit I was impressed with how good it smelled as were
my 11-y/o Newf & 13 y/o Shep-Husky. I've started adding some to their meals
as well. They're so excited about meal time. It's great to see "The Old
Ladies" display youthful excitement.
I am so grateful for such an
amazing, healthy product. It has brought incredibly happiness to our house. Sincerely,

| My
wife, sons, and I are privileged to have as part of our
family, two beautiful red and tan Dobermans, Copper and
Penny. They are second cousins and come from a line which
has produced several AKC champions in the past two generations.
During the past three years, several different brands
of food have been recommended to us. We initially chose
Iams and fed them a mix of dry and wet food twice a day.
While feeding them this diet, we were told that Copper
had very dry skin and at times was slightly under weight.
Penny's skin was fine but her coat always seemed to be
very coarse. I recently began do some on-line research
on pet food ingredients and nutritional quality. It was
quickly apparent that Natural Balance was far superior
to all other brands we were feeding. We now feed Copper
and Penny, Natural Balance® Ultra
Premium Dry Dog Food and add one can of the
various Natural Balance® Ultra-Premium Canned
Dog Food. We have noticed that Copper no longer
has any skin flaking and Penny's coat has become noticeably
softer and fuller. Our groomer recently commented that
she hasn't seen any dogs with the coat quality of these
two in a very long time. Copper recently weighed in at
a very healthy 78 pounds during his annual physical. Our
veterinarian said, Copper was in "peak physical condition."
While Natural Balance is a few cents more per can, we
now feed both dogs less than we did when feeding them
other brands yet both are at perfect weights for their
age, sex and breed. A side by side look at the contents
of the different canned dog food brands is all it really
takes to convince one that Natural Balance is the far
superior food. We feel that feeding our companions your
foods will give us that much more time to enjoy them as
they lead happy and healthy lives. |
| These
dogs love Natural Balance. Three miniature Dachshunds Natural Balance® Ultra Premium Dog Food.
Who would have thought? Tag the smaller cream colored
one is one of the pickiest dogs I have ever owned. These
dogs love all the different varieties the same. When
we feed them the can food they cannot stop jumping and
making noises, they get very excited when it is just
can food. We mix the dry and can sometimes and Raz eats
the dry first, Tag eats the can first and Sam, well
he just digs in. Sam has allergies and the food has
helped immensely. Tag and Sam have both had knee and
back problems. We believe that the food has helped with
their weight and muscle tone. Tag had two discs removed
which slowed him down some but now he is back to his
same old self. We walk the dogs as much as possible
and people stop and talk about there shiny coats and
clear eyes. We are trying all your products and the
dogs LOVE them all. Thank
you, Todd Russell |
I
have 3 rescued cocker spaniels, Tray, Tosh, and Tessah,
ages 15, 12, and 7-ish. On a recent trip to Petco for
supplies, I found your Natural Balance® Ultra
Premium Canned Dog Food. I tried the Natural
Balance® Beef Can on my dogs and it went over really,
really well. And I like the ingredient list. I feel it
is better than my Science Diet cans...
Thanks,

| My name is Nina Renee Staroba and I have a female boxer named Cecelia. (CC for short). Here is her story: In August of 2007, she became ill with diarrhea. She was 63 pounds at this point. After several trips to the vet and a a few thousand dollars later, she was diagnosed with EPI. (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.) It took until Dec. 2007 to diagnose her correctly. She was down to 47 lbs. I was worried that she was going to die shortly. Her vet prescribed enzyme replacement medicine and told me to mix it with her food. At that time, I was using a commercial brand. Needless to say it didn't work. So he told me to try a premium brand. Well, I tried several of them with no avail. I was desperate at that point. She was wasting away quickly. I live in Illinois and went to Petco in Edwardsville. I spoke with the young manager on duty about my CC and her illness, (Ryan was his name). He handed me a can on Natural
Balance® Duck & Potato Formula and said that a lot of dogs do well on this brand. I fed it to CC that evening with her enzymes mixed in and her first stool was PERFECT!! I immediately went back and bought a case. All weekend long her stools were perfect, no more diarrhea. On Monday, I called the vet and questioned why this particular brand worked so well and not any of the others I tried. He explained that the enzymes can only turn food into nutrients, not fillers, by-products etc. Well, that told me that Natural Balance has more real food in it that any of those other so-called "premium" dog foods out there. So I believe that your dog food saved CC's life and not only the medicine she is on. The story continues: On a particular trip into Petco to buy more Duck and Potato a few months later your Account Representative was there. I told him I loved the Duck and Potato and wanted to tell more dog owners about it. He hired me to become a Product Demonstration Rep and now everyone who comes in when I'm there hears CC's story. I also belong to an K-9 EPI global group on Yahoo that I share CC's story with to all new members. We have several thousand members at this point. So I have been raving about Natural Balance for several months now to people all over the world. It has been truly a blessing for many frightened dog owners trying to get this disease under control. Thank you very much, and thank you Jeff for giving me the opportunity to share my story locally. AND, she is now at her ideal weight! Renee and CC |
I
wanted to share our story. We have two chocolate cocker
spaniels, Sherman Abercrombie and Jilian Chickabee. When
we got Sherman we did not know how rare the chocolates
were. We spent a year trying to find another one, but
we finally did and she was beautiful! We made it through
our healthy puppy exam and then things started to go wrong.
She had a cherry eye, which we had surgery on and then
the other eye, which, again, we had surgery on! At about
2 yrs. old she started to have skin break outs. Terrible
scratching and ear infections. My sister-in-law worked
for a vet. She asked the vet if she could suggest anything.
She called me back and said find a good Potato and Duck
dog food...my quest was on. It took 4 months and lots
of questions to find your Natural
Balance® Duck & Potato Canned Formula! Things got much
better but then Jili started to get new allergies! So
we started narrowing her treats. We finally got to just
dog food and chicken chips. We were good for about 3 years
and then it started all over again. We found out she was
allergic to CHICKEN! The vet suggested that I take the
canned Potato and Duck food and make little scoops and
bake them in the oven! We have been making our own dog
treats from your canned Potato and Duck dog food for about
months now! We are all cleared up! NO rash! NO itching!
NO stinky ears! She is my happy little cocker again! For
anyone that wants to try: Take a teaspoon (press the spoon
against the can wall so it just fills the spoon and compacts
the dog food). Place on ungreased (could be allegic to
grease too!) cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
They come out nice and crunchy! I store in a glass cookie
jar right next to the coffee canister! I hope you share
our story with everyone. We are so glad you care so much
about our pets! I am really glad you decided to start
your company, I do miss you on T.V though! Your
friends, Shelley, Sherman and Jili! Oh, my husband too,
Larry (in photo)! |
