Thank you for making such an amazing product! I just recently started using your Natural Balance® Vegetarian Formula and I am so happy. My dog has never chowed down the way he does with this food. He has had recurring ear infections for the past year and a half. This meant approximately every 3 weeks it cost $100 at the vet. My German Shepherd "Zeus" was having terrible irritable bowel systems and even has his anal glands removed -nothing was working - he was in pain. The specialist recommended I get him on a high protein diet. I originally purchased the food he recommend from the vet's office. But I didn't notice a change and I was extremely upset - thinking I would have to put my baby down - I just didn't want to see him suffer anymore. So went into Pet Supermarket just by chance and saw Natural Balance® pet food and took a chance. I have to say the change was immediate. My new puppy had many problems with digesting IAMS Smart puppy - new receipe. After 3 months of illness and boiled hamburger and rice the vet finnaly decided to do allergy testing. She was allergic to most of the items in that food. I found your Natural Balance® Lamb Meal & Brown Rice allergy formula at PetCo. What a life saver! She is now healthy again and her digestion problems are gone! Please don't change a thing ! I would like to know where I can get treats for her as well. I wanted to thank you for your products. If it wasn't for your Natural Balance® Venison and Green Pea Canned Formula my cat Moose would be living in misery and was before he started on it. I adopted Moose from a shelter. He was on the euth list because he needed expensive surgery for entropian. He's long had his sugery however that turned out to be not his only problem. He developed food allergies and the vet couldn't figure out what he was allergic to. He would literally claw at his eyes, and had several other bad physical reactions. He had to wear an e-collar the majority of the time so he wouldn't cause more harm to himself. Being rescourceful, the collar turned out to be too short, if he couldn't get to it himself then he simply found something to rub his face & ears on. SO a longer collar was put on but he had no real freedom and had to be offered food and water several times a day , he couldn't get to anything with the longer collar. Since the change and now being seen by a holistic vet, it's made all the improvement I could have hoped for. It's been slow going but it's definite. Without your food, Moose may not be here now because of the injuries he was causing himself, that it seem unfair to allow him to be so miserable. He's with me and I hope for a very, very long time. I just recently switched my dog over to your brand of dog food. I feed her both the dry and the canned food and she really likes it. I have been feeding Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula to my dogs for a few months now with wonderful results. My 15 year old Beagle, 11 year old Golden Retriever and 4 year old English Mastiff all have allergy issues. This food has helped to clear them up. They no longer have inflamed itchy ears from recurrent yeast infections. Their coats are soft, shiny, thick and they shed less. Please NEVER EVER change the ingredients. I have fed other foods in the past that helped them, but then they made ingredient changes supposedly for the better. No it was to make their food cheaper to make due to a lamb and venison shortage. GIVE ME A BREAK! Please keep the duck and potato food and treats the same as well as your other foods. Marianna Hryck

I just started my dogs on Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Fish Formula. In only 4 days, I have seen a dramatic change in my dogs’ behavior when I take them outside. My one dog always ravaged eating grass, mud, and roots, and some nasty stuff. BUT since I started my dogs on Nat’l Balance, it’s truly a miracle. I can walk my dogs outside w/out them pulling and digging to eat the grass, mud and stuff. I can walk them on long walks, and they just walk along and just stopping to sniff once in awhile. They are different as night and day. I’m sure my dogs would thank you for improving the quality of their lives. I wish I had known about this before. Maddie has "Valley Fever" which is pretty common in the SouthWest - but it's debilitating and can be fatal. She was dangerously underweight, limping when she (occasionally) walked, and had absolutely no energy for anything. Dear Natural Balance, I am just writing you to send a HUGE Thank you your way. I have a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who is my life and about a year ago I had him allergy tested. I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your product. My Dachshund Emmett is 18 years old and he has always had somewhat of a sensitive stomach, but was usually able to tolerate most dry food. Recently I have had to switch him to canned food just for ease of eating for him. I tried many different kinds of canned food and all of them seemed to be either too rich for him to take in, or he didn't like them. I could only feed him very small amounts of the food because it was cause severe digestive problems. He just kept getting thinner and thinner. I was looking on the internet one day for another food or a supplement to give him that would help with his weight. I came across your Natural Balance® Canned Dog Food and went out and bought some. I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful food. Cody is a 3 year old mixed shepherd that we adopted when he was 12 weeks old. It has been a constant battle getting him the right food. Cody has lupus and has always had runny stools. HE would go at least five times a day, and just getting him to eat was a chore. His weight was pitiful, and he lost hair left and right. We were using the Wellness brand, but switched to yours when a neighbor told us about it. It is night and day. He no longer has runny bms, and he goes once or twice a day. He eats like there was no tomorrow now. Cody takes lots of meds to control his lupus and I know his tummy never feels right. But now you should see him. I own two mixed breed dogs; Hannah is eight and Ruby is two. I rescued both adopting Hannah at the age of 8 weeks and Ruby at 4 months. Hannah has had severe digestive problems since the day we brought her home. After thorough testing, her vet informed us that Hannah has food allergies. She was placed on a Rx food plan but still had numerous bouts of diarrhea and throwing up. A little over a year ago, I read an article about your products; particularly the Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula. I picked up a small bag from my local PETCO store to sample. First, both of my dogs absolutely LOVE the product. I also give them your biscuit products as treats. Second, Hannah has had only 2-3 bouts of irritable stomach since placing her on the Duck and Potato formula, and I believe it was caused from something she picked up in the yard. I just wanted to say your dog food has made my male and female Pit Bulls. For the first three years of their lives I fed Dog Chow and I always wondered why they had itchy dry skin. I switched two months ago to Natural Balance and since then I have noticed a shiny coat not as many flies around because my dogs aren't itching, and my sons are gratefull they don't seem to poop as much. So there is more play time with their dogs. I have always used your Natural Balance® Dog Food Rolls for their training treats but then I noticed my Pet store PETCO carrying your dry dog food formula. My aging Golden Retriever (16) was recently put on a vegetarian diet due to richness of meat products with her aging organs. I orginally was given a prescription dry dog food and she simply would not eat a bite of it. I then thought i could make my own food, but after about 2 weeks was concerned i wasnt giving her the proper nutrition. I decided to go to the pet store and buy a vegetarian kibble. I thought this was a simple task... OH NO. After nearly an hour at the store, and reading just about every label i thought this task was hopeless. On a whim, I decided to ask the sales lady and she told me they have one variety of vegetarian food and led me to your Natural Balance® Vegetarian Formula. (Ironically it must have been the one label I didnt read). I was thrilled so I bought a small bag and that night decided to give it to her with her prescription wet. I received samples of Natural Balance from a rep at Petco in Stratford, CT. I went in to buy cream for my English Bulldogs paws. I met this rep and she said try this what he has is due to Allergies. He does have allergies that come out in different ways. Patches of hair were gone on his sides, his nose runs, and he scratches and rubs his body and face. His ears and eyes get very pink. I tried the food and hoped he wouldn't get the runs. I am amazed. This dog food is the best EVER!!!! His hair has grown bac,k his eyes are clear, his nose is not running, his ears are great AND the hair on the side has grown back in just under a week. Is that possible? I can't tell you how happy I am with this product. I worry so much about him and his health. Whenever I look at him I run to him and squeeze and hug and kiss him all over! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU! I am sending a photo of my K9 partner "Selene" during training from 10 weeks to about 10 months old. She will be 2 years old on August 3, 2008. She weighs in at 107 lbs and is solid muscle. My vet & I firmly believe that the training along with a good diet (Natural Balance) has given her the best health. I also have noticed this with my other dogs. She started on the street in June, 2007. She had found dope and tracked the bad guy over 4 miles. This is not your typical k9 police dog. She is an Italian mastiff (Cane Corso). In the Police world, there are only three, Beach wood Ohio "Guido", half brother of Selene, & Hoopstin Illinois "Reiha", half sister. The mastiff matures slower but I could not ask for a better partner. She is still my baby girl and growing up. I wanted to share my story about Sasha a German shepherd mix that we adopted. She had been found on the streets, and her coat was dry and dull and she lacked energy. While looking for a good dog food to feed her, an employee at Petco suggested the Natural Balance Ultra Premium Dry Dog Food, and after about two weeks we noticed a dramatic difference in her coat, and she was running and playing like a puppy. Her coat is now shiny and she has stopped itching and digging herself due to dry skin patches. We will never stop feeding her the Natural Balance Ultra Premium and recently bought a Roll of the Lamb and one Beef. It was instant love for her!! We will mix some with her dry food, and give as a treat. We have noticed also that her bathroom habits are healthy. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful your products are. We have 9 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever who has a seizure disorder. We were reluctant to put him on meds since there are so many complications associated with them. We found an article several years ago linking glutens to seizure disorders. Just wanted to let you know your Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula has been a blessing for my Yellow Lab. Every other food we used he would still break out with horrible skin conditions...hot spots, sores & pustules on his belly, chewing at his paws till they bled. Since being on this diet, this has not been so bad. He still has environmental issues that we need to treat with medications periodically, but he is a much happier dog thanks to you!!! Trish, PA

I am the proud mother of a 16 year old cat named Maci (pronounced and named after the store Macy*s...without the "s"). She is the love and joy of my life. When she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism three years ago, the doctor prescribed medication twice a day, Royal Canon LP dry food, and a variety of wet food to try. She literally HATED the wet food. I kept her on the dry food, but started giving her Wellness wet food. I know that thyroid problems can cause older cats to vomit and loose weight. I did some on-line research and decided to take her off of the Royal Canon and Wellness. That’s when I discovered Natural Balance. I started out with the Duck & Green Pea wet and then brought a bag of dry. (I kept the receipt…just in case.) They tell you to mix the dry so you can wean them off of the old product. After three days, she vomited and I was surprised and ready to take it back. I then realized that it was light in color and I knew it was the Royal Canon. That let me know that she was ready to be a full-fledged Natural Balance cat. (I give her other flavors as treats) Her weight is good (no more loosing), coat is shiny, eyes are bright, and jumps and runs (even faster than me) all over the place. I am a breeder of Devon Rex cats and have had several cats with allergies, one kitten in particular refused every other food and was only surviving by nursing (he was 10 weeks old) we ruled out all other medical issues and decided to finally try allergy tests. Four years ago we adopted a rescued English Pointer as a companion for our Doberman. Obviously a hunter had left her in the field as she has bird shot in her head and a BB in her elbow - why are people so cruel? Anyway, "Abby" has a wonderful home with us, sleeps in our bed, goes to the dog park everyday to play with her buddies and run off that energy!! I was feeding her Nutra for a few years, then switched to Science Diet. She seemed to not enjoy her SD after a year or so, and I was given samples of your product at a charity fund raiser for a new police dog. Abby loves your Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Venison and Potato and Duck Formula! She doesn't need to be encouraged to eat - when the food goes down, she's right there. First of all, wanted to say thank you for the Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula - my yellow lab is allergic to ALL grains, rice, and soy, so finding this food (and at an affordable price) was fantastic! We have been using it for two years, and I get compliments on his coat all the time--he no longer looks like he has mange, as he did when I first rescued him and didn't know about his allergies... WOW! I am a owner of one dog and a cat. I have never seen them empty their food bowls, I had to look twice. I was given samples of Natural Balance® from Petco at a dog rescue. I feed Natural Balance® to all three of my dogs that I have rescued - a full blooded Siberian Husky, Red Doberman Hound mix and a Golden Retriever Hound mix. I also use it in my store for passing out treats and I feed all the Humane Society Cats at my store since I am working with the Humane Society and I house all the cats we are now up to 23 kittens and 8 adults. It gets quiet interesting. Thanks so much for such a great food it has helped my Husky so much I feed all the Treats and Rolls too. I just wanted to let you know that after 10 years of suffering. My Chocolate Cocker Spaniel Joey is not having allergy problems anymore. I started him on your grain free products about a 2 months ago. His hair is coming back and his skin is no longer black and crusty. He does not itch all the time and is actually starting to be playful again. I've tried everyting in the past. He has been on antibiotics, steroids, enzymes, other holistic foods and nothing worked. I also just took some to a friend that was having the same problems. And I've told my sister about it. It's hard to believe that his problem all along was grain. I have an eight year old Chocolate Lab named Buster. He has had recurring skin allergies. I was concerned with the constant treatment of steroids and their effects. I want you to know how much my dog loves your products! I have a 2 year old chihuahua that was a bit overweight. I never understood why we was plump. My husband and I walked him regularly and we thought his diet was fine...we realized how wrong we were. We had been feeding him Royal Canin chihuahua food. We thought that since it was breed specific that is was the best for him. A friend told me about Natural Balance and I got it right away. He loved it from the start! I use the Natural Balance® Ultra Premium Reduced Calorie and a bit of the Beef meat roll. He immediately starting to lose weight and have tons more energy-it was amazing! I wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I love your dog food. My dog developed a severe ear infection that was a result of a food allergy. Initially I was feeding him prescription food, until someone recommended your brand. I buy the Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Fish Formula dry food and my dog LOVES IT! I have a 4 year old female Bichon Frise who has had to live her life walking a thin line between health and illness. She has celiac disease, pancreatitis, colitis and gastritis (to name but a few) and has suffered since 8 weeks of age from almost constant diarrhea and/or vomiting. We have tried (vet supervised) every kind of food out there - "prescription" diets that are supposed to be formulated for her "conditions", premium dog foods, organic dog foods, grain-free dog foods and even chain store brands of dog food only to have our dog become ill (and, more than once, hospitalized) after consuming even just a spoonful of these foods. We were left with making her food ourselves which, as you can imagine, is time consuming and frustrating. Because she has food allergies as well as her other GI conditions, she has been eating a diet of boiled rice and chicken with dietary supplements. I am constantly researching and testing new foods but never with any luck. I had all but given up when, as a lets-give-it-one-last-try, I discovered Natural Balance Canned Chicken Formula. It was one of the few chicken formulas out there that did not contain turkey as well (our dog is allergic to turkey) and it did not contain wheat! I took home a can and gave our dog a spoonful in her regular dinner.....she loved it and it did not upset her GI system! Logan, my ridgeless Rhodesian Ridgeback, turned 5 years old this past March. When he was 1 and 1/2, he started exhibiting an allergic reaction... itchy mouth, ear infections, skin rashes, rectal bleeding, vomiting, and food refusal (unheard of for a ridgeback). With consultation from our vet, we went through several longterm doses of metranidazole, which helped only temporarily, and several diet trials. The diet trials included beef/rice, turkey/rice, and several *allergy formulas* of other dog foods. My poor dog was suffering, and my instinct was that it was an allergy to chicken, eggs, and rice. My vet kept putting him on chicken-based allergy formulas, so I took a second opinion, where Logan had full bloodwork, x-rays, and a full checkup. Nothing. I went with my instincts. I informed both vets that we would be trying Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Fish Formula, and he's been on it ever since. I just want to thank you a million times over for saving my dog's life and saving me countless vet expenses. Please don't ever stop making this food! To all the other dog owners out there with allergy problems, don't give up! One thing that took me a while to figure out is that allergic symptoms can continue to occur up to six weeks after exposure, even if the allergen is no longer present. I did a lot of food research to determine what the best food for my dog would be, looking at insoluble/soluble fiber ratios, omega 3/6 counts, calcium phosporus ratios, and % protein. Sweet Potato and Fish formula fit the bill, and I wish I could express how healthy he is on it. His coat simply glows. He still gets a hold of chicken or egg-based tidbits, mostly through other people, and his latest reaction is a mad case of hives. However, his reactions are considerably less severe on the Sweet Potato and Fish formula, than they were on other foods. I don't know how so many dog food companies get it wrong, but I am so glad that you are getting it right. It's time we take a serious look at why the allergy rate for dogs (and people) is skyrocketing! I suspect a good deal of the blame lies on food source and preparation quality. You guys need to get into the vet clinics to stop them from selling the cheap, filler dog foods labeled as 'prescription diets.' If it wasn't for Natural Balance, my dog would be on one of those formulas with a lifetime of drugs and possibly steroids ahead of him. You have a lifelong customer here! Michelle - Chicago, IL

Slick was an abused cat that we rescued 10 years ago. He ate Science Diet for years. Every bowel movement was diarrhea & he was vomiting once or twice a day. We tried several of the Science Diet foods for cats but he didn't get better. This went on for over 6 months. The vet said we would probably have to keep him on steroids. I weaned him off of the steroids and started giving him Natural Balance Ultra Premium Cat Food and he is a new cat. He is almost 13 now with healthy bowels and maybe vomits once a month. Last year we adopted an abandoned momma kitty, Little Missy, and her kittens. Little Missy was very scrawny and now she is a very healthy cat. We are so very thankful to have found Natural Balance. I have been feeding my dogs your food for two years now and they have done very well on it. My cats like your food too, and I especially want to thank you for developing the allergy Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula for cats. My older female cat Olive was losing weight and throwing up after developing an allergy to something in the regular cat food. We rescued a 6.5 month old beagle end of Jan. We struggled for 2.5 months to find a food that she would eat. She would even refuse the home cooked recipe that friends feed their beagles. About over a year maybe longer we started on Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula just a 5 lb bag just in case the dogs did not like it but we soon figured out that it was a big hit in our house. When I would feed my dogs before I discovered Nature Balance my dogs just picked at their food, sometimes it would take two days to empty out the food. One day I was at Petco and picked up some sample bags and haven't looked back. I had my sister change her dog food when she came to visit with her pooch she said, "You try to feed him but he only eats lunch meat." My eyes lit up with amazement that my sister would do tha. She said she had to or her dog would not eat. I put a small bowl in front of this Dachshund, and she and my sister are still happy they came to visit.
