BALANCE® REPTILE DIET... |
Natural
Balance® Reptile Diet was developed specifically
for meat-eating reptiles, and is a preferred
diet for those who dislike feeding their animals
either live or frozen mice or rats. Our Reptile
Diet was developed, researched and tested by
leading zoo animal keepers, nutritionists, and
veterinarians. This fresh-frozen beef diet is
made from high quality beef processed in a HACCP
compliant California State inspected plant under
stringent sanitary conditions. This diet is
nutritionally complete and needs no additional
supplementation; it does not contain meat by-products
or grains such as corn, wheat, rice or barley.

| FEEDING
GUIDELINES |
Thaw
to room temperature only the amount to be fed at one time.
If your reptile is to be fed more than one sausage, leave
the desired number linked together. Feeding smaller sausages
more frequently is preferred over feeding sausages that
are too large or may not be easily digested. If the reptile
is housed on carpet or paper, simply put the sausage in
front of the reptile. If ingestion of the substrates is
a concern, place the sausage on a saucer, or use tweezers
(never your fingers) to hand feed your
reptile. Sausages should be fed end first,
and may require some movement to stimulate your reptile’s
attention. Most reptiles will accept Natural Balance®
Fresh-frozen Sausages. Some reptiles that have previously
been fed live or dead prey may require a period of acclimation.
Never feed a snake that is in its shedding cycle. |
